■詳細説明The Lower Crash Bars are the foundation of AltRider’s 3-part CrashBar system for the Africa Twin. These bars are constructed in theUnited States from 1.25 in (3.175 cm) diameter steel tubing with0.079 in (2.0 mm) wall thickness. Boasting more than twice thestiffness compared to 1 in (2.54 cm) tubing, no other crash bardesign on the market offers such robust protection for the AfricaTwin. This added strength enabled AltRider engineers to design theLower Crash Bars to take the first hit in a tip-over or low-sidecrash before any of the bike’s vital components come in contactwith the ground. The hand-TIG welded crash bars are CNC mandrelformed around the rear brake lever for excellent ergonomics whilestill providing powerful protection.The rear of the Lower Crash Bars mount in-board of the right footpeg by way of the 3/16 in (4.8 mm) mounting flanges, which willtransfer impact energy away from the motor to the lower frame. Upfront, 3/16 in (4.8 mm) thick stainless steel brackets fastens thebars directly to the frame.The Upper Crash Bars provide complete coverage for the bike’svulnerable radiator and expensive plastic fairings. The 1 in (2.54cm) diameter stainless steel tubing is hand-TIG welded in the USAand mounts directly to frame rather than the engine case.The Lower and Upper Crash Bars meet at 3/16 in (4.8 mm) thickstainless steel mounting brackets, which tie to the front sub-frameand headstock using included M6 bolts, a dramatic advantage overall other designs on the market. This ensures a solid connection tothe motorcycle’s frame, especially when installed in conjunctionwith the Reinforcement Crash Bars. Once the upper system is tied tothe stout lower 1.25 in (3.175 cm) bars the system becomes clearlythe strongest solution option. PEM captive nuts make for easyremoval for servicing.The third and final component of AltRider’s 3-part Crash Bar Systemfor the Honda Africa Twin, the Reinforcement Crash Bars strengthenthe entire system by tying the upper and lower bars together. Thisdesign allows for even large impacts to be distributed throughoutthe entire system, minimizing damage to the bike’s engine, frameand other vital components.The Reinforcement Crash Bars are made from 1 in (2.54 cm) diameterstainless steel tubing with .083 in (2.1 mm) wall thickness and arehand-TIG welded in the United States for maximum strength. TheReinforcement Crash Bars mount to the Upper and Lower Crash Bars byway of integrated threaded mounting points with included stainlesssteel hardware, making installation easy and fast.Select a configuration at the right for additional information onindividual components.Configuration notes: save when you buy the Upper & Lower BarsCombo, and save even more when you buy the Full System (compared topurchasing each piece separately).
